This event gives ISA students the opportunity to network and chat with industry professionals. Our industry guests freely shared their advice, knowledge and insights about the acting, film and animation/vfx industry over champagne and canapés. Networking skills are part of the real life skills training that ISA offers in its courses to prepare students for the realities of the industry and equip them with the tools to succeed. ISAthanks all our industry guests who made the evening a resounding success and for their ongoing support of ISA.

Cornerstone College visits ISA

On Friday 6 November ISA played host to Year 10 students from Adelaide's Cornerstone College as the conclusion of their annual "arts immersion" week in Sydney. At ISA, the group of 48 students — who study drama, music and visual arts -- took part in practical training for screen acting and film production. Following an invigorating group warm-up activity, they improvised scenes in small groups using the theme of “Theatre for real life”. Working in ISA’s studios, each group then took turns having their scenes shot by their fellow students, who took on the roles of director, first AD, cinematographer, sound recordist and clapper loader. The ease with which the students created fascinating stories and then put into practice essential industry protocols was just as impressive as the professional behaviour of this group of fine young artists.
